Job Summary and Qualifications- Carefully checks each test requisition for validity, duplication, medical record number and proper charges
- Proficient with performing patient testing
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the following age groups: adolescents, adult and geriatric
- Maintains test equipment with proper cleaning and supplies
- Able to sue computer for scanning charges maintaining files
- Evaluates the performance of equipment
- Explains to the patient the procedure about to be performed and the purpose of the test; consistently relaxes the patient before a test to ensure proper results
- Maintains a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with physicians and their office staff
- Demonstrates good judgement in solving problem related to personnel or referring problems to the coordinator when necessary
- Consistently completes echo procedure in an adequate amount of time
- Achieves state goals related to job performance
- Educational attendance records reveal attendance at all required educational programs/in-services
- Echocardiographer Technician
- High School Graduate / GED
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
