Job Responsibilities:

The Director of Mission Integration & Chaplain provides leadership in aligning mission and values within the senior living environment, ensuring the strategic priorities of the organization are met. This role is integral in preserving the rich heritage of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, engaging employees, residents, the advisory board, and friends of Franciscan Care Center. The Director cultivates workplace spirituality, leads theological reflections with managers and associates, and provides compassionate spiritual care for residents. A special focus is placed on integrating exceptional spiritual care throughout the continuum of care, particularly at the end of life.

Requirements:

  • Master s degree, preferably in theology or a health-related specialty, with a working knowledge of healthcare operations and financing.
  • Experience in working with elders required; in a Catholic healthcare setting preferred.
  • At least two years of demonstrated success in management positions, preferably in healthcare.
  • Two units of clinical pastoral education or equivalent education/training in pastoral care preferred.
