Speech Therapy Quality Assurance Supervisor

The Speech Therapy Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all contracted Speech Therapists for School Age, Preschool and Early Intervention Departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Conducts Evaluations for EI, CPSE and School Age children.
Interviews new therapists and staff.
Participates in staff orientation, including HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid compliance.
Participates in Audits.
Conducts meetings with various agencies.
Assists with billing as necessary.
Conducts performance improvement activities.
Educates therapists on performance improvement measures.
Promotes quality, comprehensiveness and appropriateness.
Promotes compliance with existing Federal and State Early Intervention record requirements.
Promotes compliance with School District Regulations.
Promotes compliance with Preschool Federal, State and County guidelines.
Tests for family satisfaction.
Provides Services and Evaluations individually and in-district as needed.
Meets current objectives and positions the organization for future growth. Completes daily tasks and assignments.
Builds positive relationships based on respect for others. Demonstrates a helpful, positive attitude. Maintains effective communication with peers, patients, teachers, families, etc.
Meets and exceeds expectations of all requirements. All standards regarding quality of performance are met. Demonstrates a strong commitment to confidentiality. Participates in quality improvement programs as directed.
Demonstrates an awareness of and adherence to safety and legal requirements established at the school with an emphasis on maintaining a safe environment.
Reports any accidents, injuries, and unsafe equipment and conditions to supervisor and reports any pre-existing conditions as identified by the ADA.
Immediately reports and corrects, if possible, unsafe conditions or equipment.
Compiles with relevant regulations, standards and policies governing safe workplace environment.
Maintains current knowledge of all aspects of the safety program by attending safety-related training as mandated upon hire and thereafter as required.
Participates in required supervision and continuing educational programs on an ongoing basis.
Follows all guidelines outlining standards of attendance and punctuality on a flexible schedule. Responsible for reporting to and completing work at assigned times.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
This position requires graduation from an accredited Speech Therapy program and possess a license (if applicable by the state) as a Speech Therapist by the state in which they practice.
