Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in the banking sector, specifically in fraud detection and prevention. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions to mitigate fraud risk.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to fraud detection and prevention.
  • Analyze current banking processes and systems to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain business process models to illustrate workflow and identify potential fraud risks.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns related to fraudulent activities.
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure that solutions meet business needs and compliance standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to discuss findings and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on fraud trends, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes related to fraud in the banking sector.
  • Support the implementation of fraud detection systems and tools, ensuring they align with business objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services domain.
  • Experience in fraud detection, prevention, and risk management processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with fraud detection software and tools (e.g., SAS, FICO, Actimize).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or related certifications is a plus.
