Job specification

* Lead and manage the nursing staff in the Same Day Surgery unit, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, aligning with evidence-based practices and organizational standards.
* Oversee the daily operations of the unit, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
* Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards related to surgical services.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and streamline surgical workflows.

Candidate requirements

* A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred.
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
* Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in perioperative or surgical services leadership.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
* Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is highly preferred.
