The Role:

Cognizant seeks to hire an VNF Orchestration Lead for our IoT Practice. The IoT Practice provides Product Engineering best practice/standards development, deployment, management, and operational support across the communications, media and technology industry. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications below. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression within this expanding global team.

Experience:

· 15 years of experience in working with RAN & Core Network, Virtualization

· Sound knowledge on Cloud Computing technologies/SDN-NFV/MEC/SD-WAN

· Hands-on experience on VNF/CNF Orchestration (Nokia/Ericsson/ONAP/etc)

· Knowledge of 5G, LTE and IMS network call-flows and network architecture

· Experience in developing ETL workflow, data acquisition optimization and data migration

· Knowledge of design principles of OpenStack architecture and how networking operates in an OpenStack cloud

· Experience with virtual application deployment (VNF & CNF) and Orchestration

· Programming skills in Ansible & Python

· Experience in ETSI SOL Compliance, Day 0/1/2 automation, Ansible Playbook

· Lead the Orchestration of software architecture, defining the structure and components of complex systems

· Capability to carry out performance tuning and resource optimization as required

· Proficiency with version control systems like Git for managing code repositories and collaboration with other developers

· Knowledge of protocol analysis tools such as IrisView, NetScout and Wireshark

· Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques

· Experience in building DevOps Pipeline, TOSCA, Automation

Qualifications

· The ability to adapt to evolving technologies and software requirements of Virtualization (VNF/CNF)

· Familiarity with networking protocols for NBI/SBI integrations

· Awareness of security best practices, as network devices need to be secure. This includes understanding encryption, authentication, and network security

· Experience in 5G RAN- Core integration will be added advantage

· Analyze and design resource orchestration system requirements based on standards (5G/ONAP) and product features

· Certification in Linux, OpenStack, Ansible, Kubernetes, Cloud Security or equivalent

Work Authorization

· Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation: - Comp will be in a Range of $150K/Annum to $170K/Annum. Application will be accepted till 08/28/24
