Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor cardiac rhythms during patient transports and collect diagnostic data as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
- Assist nursing personnel in providing patient care in their assigned area.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- On-the-job training provided.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Successful completion of basic arrhythmia course preferred.
- Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
This position requires a varied shift schedule, including every other weekend, every other holiday, and occasional on-call shifts. The work schedule is 72 hours every 2 weeks.
CompensationThe hourly range for this position is $23.00 per hour, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
