Accounts Payable Specialist III

About the Role: The Accounts Payable Specialist III will use organization, detail orientation and advanced communication skills to process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner. The Accounts Payable Specialist III is responsible for tracking of vendors and funds in the Company's accounting software system and utilizing Microsoft Excel. The Specialist will assist with check-mailing process and provide additional general administrative support to the team as needed. The Accounts Payable Specialist III will support the level I and II team members, assist with maintaining process documentation, analyze invoice integrity reports and assist in audits. Company OverviewWith roots dating to 1891 and 8,500+ employees, MYR Group Inc. Our culture is built on shared values and mutual respect, where teamwork and collaboration occur naturally.Throughout our rich history, we have partnered with utilities, municipalities, commercial clients, and developers to deliver some of the largest and most complex projects, including new construction, upgrades, maintenance and repair for transmission, distribution and substation facilities, commercial and industrial electrical construction, emergency and storm restoration, clean energy, pre-construction services, and engineer-procure-construct (EPC) methods of project delivery.  Essential FunctionsManage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable duties including 2 and 3-way matching and securing proper approvals for non-PO invoicesReconcile invoices to purchase orders through an automated AP workflow systemEnsure timely payments to vendors and resolve any issues through collaborative processes with internal and external stakeholdersRespond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiriesProcess employee expense reportsReconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepanciesAssess and apply Sales and Use Tax rates when applicable.Research and resolve vendor and operation’s inquiries and disputesAssist with internal and external auditsMaintain up-do-date process documentationRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards About You: QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED is requiredAA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar discipline is preferredMinimum of 5 years full-cycle Accounts Payable experienceExperience with 2-way and 3-way matching, vendor account reconciliation, and high-volume invoice processingHands-on experience with spreadsheetsProficiency in MS Office and data entry skillsExperience with major ERP software is helpfulPrevious experience in the construction industry preferredKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge and understanding of accounts payable or accounting software, as well as Business SystemsProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (accuracy with data entry, formatting fields, and standardizing data)Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit that seeks to resolve issues quickly and effectivelyExcellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet required deadlinesCapable of handling confidential and sensitive informationHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsSalary $48,127-$72,000 / yearCommensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
