What you will do
We are looking for an exceptionally skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Controls Analyst to join our dynamic team at Johnson Controls. This pivotal role transcends typical data analysis; it requires a professional who can decipher complex inventory data and convey clear, impactful narratives that pinpoint critical issues and reveal opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced analytical tools such as Power BI and Excel to generate comprehensive reports, engage effectively with stakeholders, and drive significant enhancements in our inventory management processes. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, particularly SAP, is essential to guarantee precise inventory oversight, optimize operations, and facilitate data-informed decision-making.
How you will do it
Inventory Analysis & Reporting:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and insightful reports in Power BI to meticulously track key inventory metrics, including accuracy, blocked stock, discrepancies, and associated costs.
- Employ advanced Excel techniques to dissect data, producing impactful reporting outcomes through trend analysis, detailed graphical representations, and accurate forecasting.
ERP/MRP System Management:
- Utilize SAP to meticulously monitor inventory transactions, assess stock levels, and confirm order accuracy.
- Detect and analyze discrepancies between system records and physical inventory through comprehensive root cause analyses, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Collaborate in enhancing EWRP/MRP systems by articulating requirements and rigorously testing system updates pertinent to inventory controls.
Process Improvement:
- Assess existing inventory control processes critically, proposing strategic improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with Johnson Controls standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (supply chain, production, finance) to adopt and implement industry best practices in inventory control management.
Cycle Counting and Audit Support:
- Leverage trending data to advocate for cycle counting initiatives that address investigative findings, ensuring inventory records are reconciled efficiently.
- Support the audit process by providing in-depth data analysis and insightful reports to auditors, facilitating a smooth audit experience.
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, data analysis within a production or manufacturing environment, or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, particularly SAP, is essential.
- Proven track record in developing and analyzing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
- Familiarity with inventory forecasting and demand planning tools is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred:
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
- Familiarity with Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies in Inventory Management is a plus.
