Financial Analyst for a Leading Wire Manufacturer

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Southwestern Wire, a leading manufacturer of galvanized wire and fencing products. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
• Process weekly payroll and ensure accurate payment to employees
• Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial statements, investigating and resolving discrepancies between financial records
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing necessary reports and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded
• Help prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring reports are accurate and comply with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and overdue payments for vendor invoices and customer billing
• Review company expenses to ensure they align with budgets, analyzing variances and making recommendations for cost control
• Collect data and assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations for financial data, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and standards
• Track and record fixed assets, manage depreciation schedules, and assist with asset-related reporting
• Analyze financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports for management review
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in accounting. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Estimated Salary:
$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
