team through our employee recognition programs Job Description:About the Role:The Senior Corporate Counsel, Labor and Employment works closely with Human Resources and other business partners to provide labor relations and employment law advice and counsel. This role is responsible for creating and supporting strategic and proactive labor and employee relations initiatives/programs, identifying labor and employment-related trends, risks, and opportunities within the Company, and providing advice and training to internal business partners.Support field HR team on all labor relations issues, including contract negotiations; grievance and arbitration; contract interpretation and administration; progressive discipline; ULPs; and positive employee engagement.Provide analyses and strategic advice on Human Resources and other policies, procedures, and practices.Develop and manage key projects and initiatives related to hiring, retention and advancement, talent development, employment assessments and artificial intelligence, sourcing, regulatory inquiries, pay equity matters and data use standards and governance, and emerging legal risks in the DEI and talent acquisition spaces.Manage outside counsel to ensure effective case handling, with an emphasis on efficiency and cost containment.Provide advice, counsel, and training in all areas of labor relations and employment law.Ensure compliance with all labor and employment policies, regulations, and laws and identify areas of opportunity.Oversee, investigate, and as necessary prepare, the responses, notices, subpoenas, summonses, and other correspondence that require legal action as it relates to labor and employment.Manage labor and employment litigation/arbitration/agency charges/demands/grievances.This role reports to the VP, Chief Labor and Employment CounselThis is a hybrid remote role located in Oak Brook, IllinoisAbout You:You will fit right in if you have:JD from an accredited law schoolAre licensed to practice law and in good standing (IL preferred)Demonstrated success negotiating labor agreementsPrior in-house experienceAmLaw 100 experience (preferred)10+ years of labor law and employment law experienceStrong analytical mindsetSuperior communication and negotiation skillsYour TreeHouse Foods Career is Just a Click AwayClick on the "Apply" button or go directly to www.treehousefoods.com/careers to let us know you are ready to join our team Your TreeHouse Foods Career is Just a Click Away
