Please see below job description and add'l information.Regional Food Safety ManagerWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Safety Manager to oversee the cleanliness and hygiene of our current Chicago Land commercial bakeries with a focus on Food Safety.This position will report directly to Corporate Director of Food safety.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads the development of internal auditing learning plans and serves as the internal and external subject matter expert in developing and maintaining Food Safety Standards as it pertains to facility processes.Conduct food safety/GMP internal audits of Baking Company, Chicago facilities, document findings, maintain timelines, and schedules for corrective actions.Assigns open tasks to correct department to address.Schedule necessary cross functional departmental meetings to review recommendation, findings, and progress.Lead in partnership with other Quality Managers the development and implementation of Food Safety Plans, HACCP, pre-requisite programs, and all food safety-related programs to meet regulatory and/or customer requirementsOversee the sanitation departments to ensure master sanitation schedule, daily cleaning schedule, and chemical control programs are being followed.Perform food safety and quality assessments for review of manufacturing standards, HACCP/FSMA Food Safety Plans, Food Quality Plans, and sanitation programsEnsure full compliance with company policies and procedures, customer requirements, HACCP, FSMA/Preventive Controls, and GFSI standardsDevelop policies and monitor procedures for validation food safety controlsInteract with and provide support for Baking Company quality and food safety team, Director of Food Safety and Reginal Director of QualityThis role helps to identify trends in inadequate food safety compliance within the sanitation, maintenance, and quality departments.Work different shifts when and if necessary.Other duties will be identified as the needed that pertain to the outline of this position.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct all business dealings in a professional and courteous manner.Position requires to be on site/work at least one Saturday or Sunday every week.Propose repair/cleaning strategies for facility.Support and implement new project ideas and designs.Maintains professional knowledge by attending company paid workshops.Other duties and projects as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:More than 6 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environmentHACCP and FSMA certifications are preferred.More than 5 years
experience in Food Safety management is preferred.Work with computers and software. (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Understands Good Manufacturing Practices.Experience in scheduling, training, and directing cleaning crewsUnderstanding of the American Institute of Baking inspection procedures.
