This position will report to our OSP Project Manager to coordinate and oversees OSP activities. This candidate has full knowledge of underground fiber install operations. The ideal candidate will be safety focused, customer and quality centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
 
Understand and implement local construction methods and procedures as required
Witness and monitor work activities, inspections, and testing in accordance with approved quality plans, site surveillance plans, procedures, and processes
Perform quality inspections on work currently performed or work that has been recently completed, utilizing established checklists and/or other quality related documents
Maintain records and prepare inspection reports
May be required to work nights if work restrictions dictate work to be completed at night
Must be able to document work being completed in the field
Provide daily updates to Project Manager on overall safety, quality, and production
80% Travel Ability Nationwide
~ Organizational skills: ability to handle several projects concurrently, a high level of attention to detail is required.
~ Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for fiber construction.
~ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)

 
Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and life jackets
 
3+ years of Fiber and Outside Plant knowledge required
