Essential Functions:

* Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with patients.
* Uses, protects, and discloses patients protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
* Directs patient to proper treatment area and prepares patient for treatment and/or labs.
* Assists in the transportation of patients and patient flow.
* Obtains records and reports vital signs and any other pertinent patient information to the RN or clinician.
* Administers medication, access IV, PICC, port for admin, and instructs patients on procedural preparations under the supervision of the clinician or RN.
* Follow up with pharmacies of new prescriptions as ordered by the clinician.
* Collects and labels tubes for blood draws.
* Maintains and cleans treatment areas and medical equipment.
* Maintains logs, records of medical procedures, and inventories of supplies.
* Triages telephone calls and reports to MD.
* Performs additional duties as assigned.
* Able to provide coverage at additional clinics, as needed.

Education:

* High school education or equivalent
* Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program
* Current LVN license
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
* Required: I.V. therapy/blood draw certification

Experience:

* 1-2 years of experience (Preferred but not required)
* Previous LPN/LVN work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Computer literate
* Manual dexterity to use/handle equipment and instruments
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to concurrently perform multiple tasks
