This position can be in any of the school's four departments: Biomedical Sciences, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Environmental Health Sciences, or Health Policy, Management & Behavior. We are interested in candidates who apply Artificial Intelligence-related methods (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing) to, but not limited to, the following:

We are especially interested in candidates who address health equity, health disparities, and/or the impacts of climate change in their work. The University at Albany is a Carnegie Foundation-designated publicly engaged university with signature strengths across campus in health equity and minority health disparities, emergency preparedness, climate and atmospheric science, and public affairs and policy, providing a rich interdisciplinary environment for public health science research and collaboration.

Successful candidates will be expected to develop and sustain scholarly research, contribute to the expansion of the public health teaching mission, especially as it relates to AI, mentor students, and actively engage in university and community service.
