GENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) will primarily focus on working with clients that have a mental health diagnosis to enhance their recovery. The CRSS will be responsible for providing behavioral health support and coordinated care for clients with mental health diagnoses. Ensures enhanced patient engagement by addressing barriers to care, increasing patient motivation, and establishing professional, dynamic relationships with patients, providers, referral sources and other involved parties.
• This job requires rotating on-call shift coverage that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Be part of the mobile crisis response team in the community during assigned shifts which will cover 24/7/365 days of the year.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in social sciences preferred
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Must be culturally competent.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
• Openly self-identifies as a person who has life experience of using/ and has used substance-use or mental health services when appropriate (MISA)
• Availability to work some evenings and alternating weekends

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
• CADC preferred, but not required
• Certification as Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) preferred or within 2 years of hire
