Position Overview:
The Certified Peer Specialist is a key member of the Intensive Mobile Treatment Team (IMT). The Peer engages participants in peer-based services to identify and overcome barriers to community integration, utilizing a peer relationship to foster connection, trust, understanding, and validation with community providers and support. Our clients have histories of trauma, unstable housing &/or homelessness, incarceration, and hospitalizations and are primarily people of color who are victims of systemic racism. The work is conducted in the field, where our clients live and spend their time. Hours are typically 9 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to meet the needs of the clients outside of those hours. 24/7 crisis intervention services are also expected and will be scheduled on a rotating basis within the team.
