The University of North Alabama's Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions (ACONHP) is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member at the rank of assistant professor for the nursing programs. Candidates qualifying for other ranks will be considered. Salary and rank will be based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.  Applicants with a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner certification are strongly desired. For additional information about the college, please visit our website at http://www.una.edu/nursing/.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position has been filled.The selected candidate will be expected to: teach 12 credit hours of undergraduate coursework per semester; provide clinical supervision of students; recruit and advise students; engage in scholarly activities and professional service; engage in service to the department, the college, and the University; participate in curriculum and course development activities; maintain office hours according to policy; and perform any other duties as assigned.Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution is required; Doctoral degree from the same is preferred (tenure-track appointment and/or assistant professor rank or above requires doctoral degree); Family nurse practitioner (FNP) or psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner certification is preferred; Five years of clinical practice is required; Three years of classroom/clinical teaching experience in an accredited, registered nursing program or higher degree nursing program is preferred; Online teaching experience and/or willingness to teach online courses is preferred; Ability to teach within the instructional areas of medical/surgical (med-surg), critical care, nutrition, and/or graduate nursing courses is required; An unrestricted nursing license for the State of Alabama, or the ability to obtain such, is required.  Applicants with a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner certification are strongly desired and will be given preference.
