Position Purpose
The School of Nursing at the University of Central Missouri invites applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing. This 9-month tenure track faculty appointment will being August 2024. We are looking for faculty who are committed to providing quality and innovation in nursing.
The Position's Responsibilities include:
- This position is primarily for the undergraduate program including face to face, clinical, and skills teaching.
- Consideration for graduate course instruction will be based on skill and experience and need.
- Tenured faculty assignments, committee work, and development of curriculum will be dependent upon program assessment and school needs.
- Faculty are expected to actively participate in committee work, service activities, and student advising.

Required Qualifications:
- Earned Doctorate in Nursing (PhD or DNP ) in Nursing required
- Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri
- Family Nurse Practitioner Certification by ANCC or AANP preferred
Experience
Required Experience:
- 2 years nursing experience within the last 5 years
- Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri
- CNE highly recommended, but not required
Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality
