Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the Director, the Audiology Coordinator assists with the management of audiology related issues within the Department of Speech and Hearing. Assists in ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Manages the program for audiology students. Provides clinical care to patients.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Master's Degree in Audiology
* NJ State Licensure for Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser.
* Minimum of three years (post CFY) of full time experience as Audiologist
* Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association

Essential Functions:

Continues to provide direct patient care as stated in Audiologist Job description, while meeting or exceeding standards.

Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span.

Coordinates student programs/internships and supervises students.

Provides supervision/support of staff in the absence of the Clinical Director.

Attends continuing education programs as necessary for licensure.

Functions as a secondary source of technical data/information in audiology.

Maintains and develops department forms as needed for the area of audiology.

Develops/maintains operations manual for audiology.

Maintains supplies for audiology.

Assists Clinical Director in developing new programs and monitoring effectiveness of programs in progress within the department.

Act as liaison for the department in the absence of the Clinical Director.

Monitors outpatient audiology schedule and reviews activity with the Clinical Director on a monthly basis.

Presents in-servicing for staff and community as needed, or as requested by the Clinical Director
