Job PurposeYour mission is to help LP dramatically grow our Siding business by creating demand for LP SmartSide Trim and Siding products among repair & remodel contractors and ensuring placement in the channels where they purchase siding products.  Repair & remodel is the company’s highest growth potential segment and you’ll be an integral part of a sales team that is actively expanding to make the most of this opportunity. You'll Be a Great Fit for This Team If...… you love having responsibility for delivering revenue and profit commitments… you are motivated by being a key driver of the company’s growth in a highly visible segment… you’re energized by big challenges and creating a plan to meet the challenge… you enjoy developing and managing a team to deliver the highest-level work… you are excited about also being a ‘player coach’ that not only manages but gets in the trenchIn this position you will have the opportunity to:Own a territory sales plan to achieve annual goals and growth among repair and remodel contractors and the channels where they purchase siding productsServe as the area expert on product, proper installation, and warranty coverages Enhance LP relationships with key customers, develop mutual sales plans, provide conflict resolution where needed and keep internal stakeholders informed on a timely basis.Communicate key customer and market trends and opportunities to improve LP’s overall understanding of the customer segment. Represent the company in a professional manner consistent with LP’s sales processPerform all duties in accordance with environmental and safety rules and regulations. Perform other duties as necessary. What do I need to be successful?Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills with proven resultsPeople management experience, excellent leadership skills with the confidence to lead, manage and engage team members (both direct and indirect reports)Entrepreneurial mindset and a self-starter with a bias toward actionStrong skillset in written and oral communication as well as public presentationStrong ability to develop and implement plans while continuously monitoring results and implementing continuous improvement methodologiesHigh level of computer proficiency – experience with Salesforce.com platform is a plusEXPERIENCE4-6 years of outside sales and new customer development experience Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the positionUnderstanding of and passion for the building products industry is a plusExperience in the siding and/or exterior replacement products channel is a plusEducationBachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or related field preferred Work EnvironmentHome office environment Significant travel within territory required (50%+)Evening and occasional weekend customer-related activities LP offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits and programs including health and welfare benefits, 401(k) program, career mobility, tuition reimbursement, volunteer opportunities, profit sharing and more.
