SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER with Security Clearance

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER in the OPERATIONS DEPARTEMENT of NSA MECH SECURITY DETACHMENT
Duties
• You will conduct interviews to elicit information while dealing with individuals who are difficult, hostile, or distressed.
• You will identify developmental and training needs for law enforcement employees.
• You will assign work to law enforcement employees based on priorities and individual capabilities.
• You will conduct patrols (e.g., foot, bicycle, water) to detect and deter crime

• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

You must submit DD Form 2760, Qualification to Possess Firearms before appointment.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test
You will be subject to random testing.

You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment
Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement (CSA) prior to travel to the academy.
• Employee must successfully pass an initial, annual, or any required OPM, DoD, or Department of theNavy mental and emotional stability screening, physical ability test, and physical fitness for duty test.
• You will be required to be CPR certified and utilize a portable heart defibrillator where available.
• You will be required to successfully complete the mandated 40-hour Emergency Vehicle Operators Course(EVOC)

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing guidance on law enforcement and security policies and procedures; 2) Interviewing witnesses to crimes, accidents, or security breaches to determine facts, warrant apprehension, detention, or lesser action; 3) Resolving law enforcement issues; 4) Conducting searches to compile evidence of crime/accident scenes; 5) Reviewing reports for accuracy, discrepancies, and areas of concern
