DescriptionSearching for multiple levels of Tax and Audit Accounts for a local, forward-thinking CPA firm. The Audit Accountant roles will be work from home unless at a client location. Travel to client's locations will be 30-40% of the time. Able to go into the office if that is your preference. Tax roles will travel 5% of the time with the rest of the role as a remote role with the ability to go into the office if you choose. Both roles will include about 1 day per month required in office for a meeting, training, etc. Salary based on experience Audit Accountant: • Must be CPA or CPA candidate • Must have Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance • Maintain and develop client relationships • Perform fieldwork assignments in Monroe County (Reimbursed for mileage) • Assist in planning and client correspondence for audit and accounting and consulting engagements • Assist in preparation of financial statements and other documents and reports. • Assist in financial statement preparation, compilation, review and audit engagements. • Assist with internal projects. • Become familiar with detail oriented standards and regulatory requirements. • Assist in preparation of tax returns. • QuickBooks experience is a plus Tax: -Must have Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) -CPA license (preferred) -Tax preparation experience (individual and business tax preferred) -Able to do tax research using software -Bookkeeping skills (Quickbooks experience preferred) -CCH Axcess Tax/CCH ProSystem fx Engagement experience (preferred) -Strong work ethic -Detail-oriented -Organizational skills -Communicate effectively with clients -Team playerRequirementsAudit, Prepare Financial Statements -Must be CPA or CPA candidate -Must have Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance Salary for audit accountant and tax roles- 2-3 years of experience- $60-$80K 3-4 years of experience- $80-$100K 5+ years of experience- $100-$150KJob typePerm
