Location(s):        Northern New Jersey Description:     The P&C Insurance – Commercial Sales Producer will be responsible for developing and managing an active pipeline through seeking out prospects, calling on potential clients, conducting in depth needs analysis/risk assessments, developing ideas for meeting their needs, presenting information on the organization’s capabilities, strategically cross-selling products aligned with clients’ needs and introducing technical specialists, as required, to attain and retain the business.Job Responsibilities:  Commercial Business DevelopmentCommunicate with potential clients to provide quote proposals.Conduct thorough needs analysis/risk assessment to uncover prospects/clients’ unique coverage needs.Provide consultative advice in key risk areas.Review current policy lists to identify account rounding/cross selling opportunities.Identify and close potential cross-sell opportunities.Client ManagementMaintain consistent/high quality touch points by phone and face to face with clients.Champion the proper advocacy of claims.Participate in stewardship meetings.Support Client Management team in identifying and closing rounding opportunities.Account ManagementCollaborate with account managers to create and maintain client account files.Insurance Policy ManagementProactively develop relationships with company commercial lending team to create a seamless process for providing policy quotes to new and current clients.Pipeline ManagementIdentify prospects for business from existing and prospective clients.Develop new relationships with individuals responsible for insurance and risk management decisions.Obtain referral leads from existing clients.Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities.Participate and take leadership roles in targeted community and professional associations.Job Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred;Active P&C insurance license with a minimum of two years’ experience as a commercial lines sales producer;Experience in the following market sectors preferred: real estate development, construction, industrial property, and multi-family dwellings;Experience working with Applied Epic preferred;Professional designations such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) preferred;Proven track record of successful pipeline development, delivery of effective sales strategies and reputation as a client-centric sales professional;Ability to identify and leverage essential information and think in a critical and logical manner.Computer and technical proficiency;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask.Columbia Bank and its affiliates is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAffirmative Action Employer/Males/Females/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
