ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 12:00 am - 8:00 am. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Inspect all vehicles to ensure they are safe, clean and operating properly. Maintain daily and weekly trip tickets and process and post on status board daily. Compile reports for department head to review. Verify that Pool Motor Pool and City Hall Motor Pool are dispatching equipment and vehicles to City employees. Performs minor mechanical repairs as needed and scheduling preventative maintenance. Clean and maintain Motor Pool facility/working area and police grounds throughout the day. Acts in charge when Vehicle Pool Supervisor is not available. Handles payroll and injury reports. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires High School Diploma or GED with minimum of two (2) years of experience. A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered. ASE Maintenance and Inspection Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Must be able to pass a Police background check. A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
