Job Details This compassionate medical professional performs polysomnographic testing and analysis under general oversight of Lead Polysomnographic Technologist and/or Clinical Director. Responsibilities: Preparing for the sleep study prior to the patient's arrival. Reviewing patient information in order to meet the patient-specific needs; review the patient's history and verify the medical order; verify patient identification upon arrival; explain the procedure to the patient; select appropriate equipment and calibrate for testing; and perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) interface and desensitization. Following procedural protocols, performs data acquisition while monitoring the study, documents routine observations, intervenes as needed to ensure patient safety, scores the study and clinical events, prepares a report and provides patient education. Requirements: NYS and RPSGT Polysomnography Certified or NYS Respiratory Therapist Associate's degree or higher. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. This position has a rotating overnight schedule including weekends and some possible daytime hours on occasion for scoring. Salary Range USD $35.45 - USD $53.18 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
