you unlock your full potential.JOB SUMMARYPurpose of the Role:  The Head of Bids and
Technical Solutions has ownership for leading the Commercial team through
the lifecycle of the tender process from receipt of the RFP through
contract execution and handover to Operations. This role is accountable for
compliance, quality, punctuality of each bid, sharing responsibility for
the strategic win-plan of key opportunities, taking on a leadership role
throughout the clarification and negotiation process, and supervise,
mentor, and develop team members to achieve a broad skills base that can
support the wide commercial demands of the business.JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESAccountable for leading and mentoring the team that is responsible for coordinating activities related to the planning, development, inputs, and approvals for proposals across the organization.Serve as the primary interface with business development, contracts, engineering, estimating, technical services, operations, supply chain, HR, HSE, Tax, Finance, and legal for facilitating the construction of proposals.Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements for development of proposals in accordance with RFP specifications and ownership for challenging the inputs, questioning logic, and using technical, commercial, and financial acumen to verify the quality and worthiness of such inputs.Review contracts from a technical & commercial perspective, and, from time to time, leading the commercial team through the execution of the negotiation strategy – identifying risks, creatively developing counter-offers, understanding the competitive landscape of assets, cultivating strategic relationships with customer stakeholders, taking decisions on contractual concessions, defending the company’s contractual and commercial positions, and using critical thinking skills to find solutions for issues that are at an impasse.Recommend modifications to proposal policies and procedures.Assign Commercial coordinators with tender opportunities and provide guidance for their communication flow to stakeholders and other internal departments.Review department workload and reallocate work tasks when needed to ensure a balanced distribution aligned to the skills and roles of the team.Oversee and or conduct final compilation, document control, and delivery of tender documents to meet deadlines.Obtain feedback on tenders (e.g., through close out meetings or via feedback request forms) and collate data to trend reasons for successes and failures along with capturing the lessons learned.Analyzing technical, operational, and commercial features of the business to identify risks and opportunities to advise management on strategic decisions. Provide input to assist senior management for preparation of board meetings, client presentations, and other special projectsOwn the quality control and reporting tools within Salesforce.Accountable for customer performance feedback with respect to tender submissions and operations.Participate in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of talent on the team.Periodic review of processes in line with department and wider company demands to ensure continued suitability. identify opportunities to eliminate waste within such processes and align to evolving demands while ensuring risks are adequately identified and mitigated.SAFETY AT SEADRILLOur goal is to ensure that ‘nobody gets
