ERG is seeking a Design and Construction Team Supervisor to oversee facilities design and construction staff, including engineers, project managers, and construction managers, and technicians at afederal facility site in Indian Head,Maryland. Indian Head is the Navy's leading facility for ordnance, energetics, and explosive ordnance disposal solutions. The qualified individual must be motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Job Description:Manage a team of approximately 25 staff, including engineers, project managers, and construction managers, and technicians who provide facilities planning, design, and construction support services in an energetics manufacturing environmentOversee facility planning efforts, including preparation of construction cost estimates, preliminary project schedules, facility planning documents, or engineering concept studiesOversee facility design efforts, including design support for outsourced efforts (e.g., technical input to design-build or design-bid-build requests for proposal, technical reviews of design drawings or change order requests) and in-house designsOversee facility construction management efforts, such as stakeholder coordination, development and monitoring of construction schedules, evaluating construction quality, and coordinating technical reviews of change order requestsEnsure staff perform quality assurance/quality control activities applicable to their servicesAdvise and coordinate with facility personnel and leadership on facilities project status, follow-up actions, and recommendations for future effortsCoordinate with stakeholders to meet administrative requirements for design and construction supportAssure that all work is completed/documented in accordance with applicable regulations and codesDemonstrate project management skills associated with managing performance, mentoring staff, and managing schedulesManage multiple resources and competing prioritiesDemonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to give clear direction in both verbal and writtenMake good decisions in a high-paced environmentDemonstrate exceptional customer serviceCoordinate engagement with diverse stakeholdersQualifications and Skills:Minimum of 10 years relevant supervisory experience (ideally for ten or more staff)Have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security ClearanceRelated technical experience, such as working at manufacturing facilitiesExperience managing and/or supporting facilities design and construction projectsKnowledge of federal, state, and local building and safety codesAbility to lead technical personnel efficientlyPrior experience and knowledge of facilities-related systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, grounding/bonding)Prior experience working at a DoD facility is a plus
