Organic traffic and search engine optimization are foundational elements that have contributed to NerdWallet’s success. As the Product Manager for SEO you will be responsible for defending and growing our organic audience by advising, building, testing, and optimizing on-site SEO features that ensure our content reaches our target audience.  You will collaborate with various business stakeholders and our Organic Growth team to understand their business goals in order to build your roadmap.  You will work with your partners in Design, Engineering, and Analytics to build features that will ensure NerdWallet continues to be best in class in SEO.The SEO Team is a service based organization that works to understand the needs of business teams and works in partnership to help achieve the business outcomes those teams want to focus on. As a Product Manager in this role you will collaborate with other teams to develop SEO strategies that drive high-margin traffic and support business objectives.  You will work across teams to ideate your ideas to gain business buy-in while also soliciting ideas and needs from partner teams to support their business objectives.   If you were here 6 months ago, here are some things you might have worked on: Analyze and recommend opportunities for SEO best practices and improvements for business critical pages.Develop a roadmap for SEO improvements for crawlability in collaboration with design and content strategists.Partner across business units to understand current business drivers and define and align product strategy and roadmap to those goals. Where you can make an impact: Collaborate across teams to help drive business outcomes Identify strategic opportunities to grow organic traffic across our businessDefine and establish KPIs and goals Own and execute the product roadmap Track and anticipate competitor activity and industry trendsYou are:Strong communicator: You are able to present to and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the company and across functional roles.  You have the ability to translate deeply technical concepts to others that are less familiar with your area of expertise.Client focused: You understand that your stakeholder successes are your successes. Familiarity with other SEO tools like Botify, SEMrush, Moz, etc. a plus. Technical: You have productive conversations with engineers and know the technologies involved in a highly SEO performant site.A self-starter/team player: You are excited by a fast-paced environment and the accountability that comes with owning high impact projects.Your experience:3+ years in product management at a consumer internet or mobile company Experience in an SEO growth role, or equivalent SEO experienceFamiliarity with web analytics tools and best practicesWhere:This role will be based in San Francisco, CA or remote (based in the U.S.)We believe great work can be done anywhere.
