DescriptionExpected Starting Salary Range: $135,116.80 - $200,000SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: The Strategic Relationships team supports Cincinnati Children's vision to be the global leader in improving child health by identifying, developing, negotiating and closing strategic relationships that advance the institution's highest priorities.Scope: The Senior Director will serve as a highly-visible, senior member of the team, accountable for identifying and closing transformative strategic relationships for Cincinnati Children's.  This individual will use business and corporate development expertise, including healthcare M&A expertise, to develop plans and lead strategic development activities of cross-functional teams working across multiple regions and/or service lines of the organization.REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES·Operational Management: Collaborate with Strategic Planning, Innovation and organizational leadership on long-term and short-term planning. Identify key drivers and barriers to growth. Work within relevant institutional governance to translate organization-wide strategies into strategic development plans and priorities. Provide recommendations and opinions, market information, financial analysis and other information as requested for CCHMC growth opportunities. Supports strategic priorities through targeted, innovative and responsive solutions. In collaboration with direct reports, accountable for identifying, evaluating and closing third-party agreements that advance the institution's highest priorities. Serves as an organizational advocate and partner with business leaders and cross-functional collaborators. Acts together with management as a champion for positive organizational culture and quality of work life.·Stakeholder Management: Establish and leverage collaborative relationships with institutional leaders across multiple sites of care and service lines in order to ensure close alignment between enterprise-wide priorities, division interest and strategic relationship priorities. Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders and Strategic Planning as they consider inorganic, strategic development options to achieve our highest priorities. Act as a consistent front-line ambassador of the institution's overall strategy.·Project Management: Oversee translation of Strategic Relationship plan into yearly priorities and develop associated reporting mechanisms to track progress of plans. Lead the development of the plan in timeframes determined by Senior Management. Track and report to Senior Management on a routine basis the organization's progress to achieve the goals of the strategic plan. Provide, communicate and implement strategic operational and programmatic plans and policies to achieve the mission, vision and values of CCHMC.·Financial Management: In collaboration with finance, responsible for developing thorough financial models that help identify the long-term viability and negotiation ranges for potential strategic relationships and transactions, anchored in awareness of institutional resource availability and organizational priorities. Identify, evaluate and make fiscally responsible recommendations regarding resource needs for the Strategic Relationships department, to include finances, travel & entertainment, materials, human resources, capital and space. Prepare, coordinate, evaluate and manage annual fiscal operating and capital equipment budgets for the area. Monitor outcomes and the costs of services in order to evaluate, modify, continue or discontinue programs.·People Planning: Accountable for recruiting, onboarding, guiding and developing a high-performing strategic relationship development team, providing leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff which themselves will provide strategic development capabilities to multiple, different areas of the system. Coach and mentor personnel to enhance professional knowledge. Conduct ongoing evaluation of direct reports including effective, clear and timely annual performance evaluation and active succession planning. Oversee performance management of indirect reports. Ensure indirect and direct reports are properly trained to perform job functions. Ensure departmental and Medical Center initiatives, priorities, standards and policies are effectively communicated and understood by direct and indirect reports. Provide staff with clear, actionable goals and timely, direct feedback related to attainment of those goals throughout the reporting period.
