Perfusionist 3

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a Perfusionist 3 to join the team. This role is PRN or on-call working a varied schedule.

Requirements for consideration:

* Bachelor's Degree in a medical/science field or Perfusion technology.
* Completion of a perfusionist certificate
* Five years of relevant clinical experience or documented competency in required clinical skills and administration contribution.
* Training in pediatric cardiopulmonary bypass and pediatric ECMO.
* Certified Clinical Perfusionist required upon start.
* Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start.

Job Responsibilities including but not limited to:

* The Perfusionist 3 operates extracorporeal equipment for surgical procedures.
* Provides cardiopulmonary bypass set-up, disassembly, and maintenance for various surgical procedures (e.g. CABG, valve repair/replacements, VAD insertions, heart and lung transplants, non-complex aortic procedures and minimally invasive procedures).
* Collaborates with internal teams for maintenance on Perfusion equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
* Participates in routine responsibilities related to daily operations of the Perfusion department while maintaining professional obligations.
* Other duties as assigned.
