Salary: $1,126 - $1,477 Biweekly
* Although the minimum - midpoint salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the minimum range.

ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, occasional weekends
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing and editing employee timecards. Provides customer service to employees regarding their paychecks. Processes direct deposits, W-4s, mileage forms, leave correction forms, and new hire forms. Process various payroll deduction forms, employee verification forms and safety boots vouchers. Ensures the City's compensation policies and procedures are followed by departments. Run payroll reports as needed by departments. Files all payroll forms and documentation in the appropriate employee payroll files. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience.

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
Closing Statement
Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
