Overview



We're hiring a Technical Program Manager, reporting to our Head of Technical Program Management for Developer Productivity.Your goal is to steer our Engineering organisation through growth and remove barriers in the journey towards our long-term goals. You will have a unique challenge of finding agreement by creating guardrails and removing barriers to help our engineering teams accelerate.CompensationAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $144,000 - $192,000Zone B: $129,600 - $172,800Zone C: $119,500 - $159,300 This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones. However, please confirm the zone for your specific location with your recruiter.




Responsibilities



What you'll doProgram management:Manage technical programs of medium to large cross-functional scope, from end to endManage high complexity dependencies and risks between teams, by aligning stakeholders and escalatingReport success metrics for programs including major risksHelp provide clarity in the management of budgets (e.g. software services and contractors) for the engineering craftTechnical delivery and leadership:Scale leadership by managing multiple technical and operational focused programsContribute to strategy within the product areaApply technical knowledge to and close technical discussions with principal engineers and architects to unblock program outcomesBuild understanding between your program's technical direction, the business' market strategy and Atlassian's technical strategy




Qualifications



Your backgroundBS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience5+ years of experience in a similar Program or Project Management role, within cloud environmentsExperience leading Agile programs across multiple teams, and managing Program schedulesExperience making decisions to keep projects on track, managing risks and dependencies, and evolved program management standards and operational processesExperience building tools, dashboards and automation to increase transparency and reduce toilJob SummaryCategory: Engineering
