* Location: Birmingham - Trussville

The Reimbursement specialist we would need to have an understanding of Cath Lab and EP procedures. In this role you would be solely be responsible for charging apprproprailty at the end of the case based on the charting and doctor's dictation. Communication skills will be critical to work with the staff and the physicians to make sure charges are being done appropriately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Research, analyze and reconcile reimbursement policies and procedures to ensure optimal reimbursement from public/private payers.

* Perform error analysis for disputed/denied claims and provide recommendations for process improvements. Assist with third party audits when necessary.
* Investigate, evaluate, recommend and implement fee updates and new fees.
* Act as a resource for information on public/private payer assistance and guidelines. Research reimbursement issues as necessary.
* Train and coach staff regarding proper coding and reimbursement policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education:

* High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
* Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,

if applicable
