Visiting Angels of Virginia Beach is Seeking a Dependable Live-In Caregiver to Join Our Growing Team

At Visiting Angels, we believe that the best place for seniors to age gracefully is comfortably at home. This is a great opportunity for parents or anyone coming out of retirement looking to pad their income, veterans, or those entering their second career. 

Pay: $45K-$90K

Live-In Positions are 1 week on and 1 week off. You must have a permanent local residence.

At Home Caregiver Responsibilities:

  • Provide ambulation support, bathroom assistance, hygiene care and redirections with encouragement and patience.
  • Provide care for patients with advanced dementia
  • Provide non-medical assistance to seniors in their homes
  • Provide mobility assistance, such as walking and transfers 
  • Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders 
  • Monitor fluid intake and output 
  • Personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation tasks  
  • Monitor patients overnight, assisting with mobility challenges and transfers 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be within a commutable distance of the Virginia Beach area
  • Must be encouraging and patient in providing advanced dementia care
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply   
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required  
  • Must have a current CNA, NA, PCA, or HHA certification, or be willing to obtain one prior to starting work*
  • Current PPD 
  • Must be self directed and able to work with minimal supervision 
  • Able to pass drug screening and criminal background check
