DutiesManage and direct the day to day operation, long range planning and establishment of policy pertaining to operations.Oversee Implementation of Financial Statement Audit (FSA) Readiness controls to ensure compliance with operations.Utilize accounting methodology to develop and maintain reports, briefings, and/or supporting documentation.Oversee development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure FSA Readiness compliance is met.Review and evaluate accounting activities through Staff Accountants, Financial Analysts, and Systems Analysts.Oversee work products of team and review business processes and the programs/systems used to manage and evaluate financial operations.Provide assistance to all FSA branch personnel on major problem areas.Lead conferences discussing controversial points of FSA Readiness inspections.Provide guidance and direction to junior staff within the branch.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAppointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.Mission Essential- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the position is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Oversee financial statement Audit response and remediation across all agency stakeholders; develop and improve accounting system issues; confirm the accuracy of financial data processes by analyzing financial transactions and reports.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.The FMC level 3 must be obtained within 24 months of hire date.As a supervisor, you must comply with the Army Civilian Education System (CES) course and timeline requirements. The Supervisory Development Course (SDC) must be completed within one year of placement into a supervisory position and then completed as a refresher course every three years.
