Facility: Mount St. Mary's Hospital

Shift: Shift 3

Status: Per Diem FTE: 0.166667

Bargaining Unit: SEIU Local 1199

Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No

Work Schedule: Nights with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: 6:30pm-7:30am, 1 weekend shift/month, alternating Christmas and NY Holiday Possible call.

Summary:

Provides cardiopulmonary respiratory therapy to the inpatient and outpatient populations as ordered by a physician, according to established standards and practices.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

* Either: (1) Associates Degree with Certification in Respiratory Therapy or (2) Graduated from High School or equivalent, and has completed an approved one (1) year certificate program in Respiratory Therapy Technology or a Respiratory program determined by the Department to be equivalent and at least five (5) years of experience required
* Licensed New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician require, New York State Respiratory Therapist license preferred
* BLS within (2) two months of employment

EXPERIENCE

* Three (3) months of experience as a license eligible Respiratory Therapy Technician preferred
* Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
