Under supervision the Respiratory Therapist provides services to patients at PAMC as prescribed by physicians in conjunction with established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Responsible for the assessing the patient's respiratory status and recommending appropriate therapies. Implements therapies and evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions. The Respiratory Therapist accepts and promotes professional development as an integral part of practice. Assesses, analyzes, customizes, coordinates and communicates the patient's plan of care and actively collaborate with other members of the health care team.

This posting is for multiple openings of a Respiratory Care Practitioner at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We offer several openings for various FTEs and shifts. We are hiring for the following positions in the Respiratory Therapy Department:

1) Respiratory Care Practitioner - Full-Time, 0.9 FTE, Night Shift, 36 Hours Per Week

2) Respiratory Care Practitioner - Full-Time, 0.9 FTE, Variable Shift, 36 Hours Per Week

3) Respiratory Care Practitioner - Full-Time, 0.9 FTE, Night Shift, 36 Hours Per Week

Required Qualifications:

* Upon hire: National Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care OR
* Upon hire: National Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care
* Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
* Within 90 days: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
* 5 years of Critical care experience as Respiratory Therapist

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate's Degree - Respiratory Care
