Emergency Room Nurse Manager (NM)

CTTX Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our Emergency Room (ER) team. As an ER Nurse Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our fast-paced emergency department.

As the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of the ER department, including staff management, resource allocation, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Emergency Room (ER) department
  • Ensure optimal patient care by maintaining high standards of nursing practice, monitoring patient outcomes, and implementing quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of ER staff, including nurses and support staff
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and promote interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
  • Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the ER department
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in clinical decision-making and problem-solving
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency nursing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in emergency nursing and healthcare management
