Position Overview: Seeking dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) to join our dynamic team. As an ER RN, you will provide exceptional nursing care to emergency and trauma patients, playing a vital role in our hospital's Stroke, Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), and trauma programs. Additionally, you will work in a specialized area for adult and pediatric mental health evaluations. The ER RN will develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with ANA Standards and the nursing process, acting as a patient advocate and ensuring the proficient use of equipment and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care for emergency and trauma patients
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Act as a patient advocate and provide support, information, and direct care
  • Educate patients and families on significant self-care issues
  • Inventory, distribute, and deliver medications as necessary

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire

Work Schedule:

  • Day, evening, or night shifts based on departmental policy
  • Scheduled off for at least three holidays per year
  • Weekend shifts required based on unit need
  • Occasional overtime may be necessary
