Job TitleContracting SpecialistJob DescriptionContracting SpecialistWork Location: Department of State, Washington, DCCape Fox is seeking a highly qualified Contracting Specialist to join our team in support of the US Department of State (DOS).Core Duties:Regularly updates contract tracking sheetProvides sample statement of work templates, checklists, and other documents to program offices that are designed to support the identification of contract requirements and inform the procurement timeline and procedural requirementsProvides guidance to Government Technical Managers (GTMs) per standard guidelines issued by AQM or by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR)Subject to COR guidance and supervision, maintains current procurement document templates in accordance with AQM requirements. Drafts and reviews required solicitation documentsSubmits procurement requests and other contract-related requests into Ariba, a Department of State applicationUses GFMS, a Department of State application, to assist with processing invoices and de- obligationsPrepares, processes, evaluates, and maintains contracts, including maintaining task order tracking spreadsheets or other documentation to monitor status of all contracts and task orders, subject to approval by a CORUnder the general supervision of a COR, maintains constant contact with customers (program offices), representing their requirements to the COR, A/OPE/AQM, and relaying AQM requirements to the program officesReports on the status of project activitiesCreates and modifies training request memos for Contracting Officer approval, as requiredProvides other administrative support to the Contract Liaison Unit (CLU) related to processing, records keeping, and file maintenance, as requiredTravel Requirements0 - 10%Salary Grade-Job RequirementsRequirements:Experience with Contract Management systems and processingExperience creating and maintaining electronic records.Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and perform at high standards under pressure.Bachelors’ Degree preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Must have an active / current Top Secret Security Clearance#CJCategoryOtherLocationWashington, DC (DOS - HST Bldg.) - Washington, DC 20520 US (Primary)EducationBachelor's Degree
