Job Description

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant within our esteemed North Carolina communities, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional clinical care standards are upheld. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of clinical duties including resident assessments, infection control training, and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will serve as a leader in staff education and competency validation, ensuring that our team is well-equipped to deliver exemplary care to our residents.

Clinical Oversight:

* Implement and monitor infection control practices to foster a healthy environment.
* Conduct thorough resident assessments
* Perform medication pass observations in adherence to regulatory standards.
* Validate competency for all care staff involved in resident care.
* Administer and interpret tuberculin skin testing as mandated.
* Provide ongoing oversight and certification for medication aide training, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
* Monitor completion of E-learning modules and other training requirements for staff.

Training and Education:

* Conduct staff training sessions for Med Aides, Personal Care Assistants, and other essential training as required.
* Conduct competency assessments per regulatory guidelines.
* Offer support and skill checks to assure competency of personal care staff.
* Deliver additional training and in-services relevant to resident care within the scope of practice

Qualifications:

* Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina.
* Strong understanding of infection control practices and regulatory requirements.
* Experience in conducting resident assessments
* Ability to conduct training sessions and validate staff competencies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to upholding clinical excellence and ensuring resident satisfaction.
