That’s what makes us Roche. As a Finance Manager, you will partner with cross functional teams to oversee and optimize financial performance. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financials, providing strategic insights through trend and variance analysis and driving process efficiencies. This role resides within the Controlling and Financial Analysis team and plays a crucial role in helping the organization make informed decisions to optimize P&L performance through accurate, timely and actionable financial information.Your Opportunity:Act as the single point of contact for Controlling related questions from stakeholders Support month end close related activities through proper PO coding, expense recognition, journal entries, recodes, and compliance to internal controls and processesParticipate in monthly and quarterly preparation and analysis of the squad and/or function financial results; support trade-off decisions due to strategy changes in close partnership with Finance and Business teamsSupport planning activities and partner cross finance on assessing financial performance against both the annual budget and the squad’s long-term strategyStay abreast of and communicate/educate partners on all financial processes impacting the business to ensure adherence and compliance to these processes;Highlight risks and opportunities for an Enterprise perspective on resource allocationIdentify opportunities for automation and process improvements, while partnering with Global teams on various cross functional initiativesWho You AreBachelor in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline. MBA is preferredA minimum of 3+ years in FinanceDemonstrated knowledge of accrual accounting concepts and financial statement analysisExperience in preparing monthly financial management reportsStrong proficiency with Excel and familiarity using ERP systems (SAP and TM1 preferred)Pharmaceutical/biotech experience is a plusThe expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $109,300 – $202,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
