The Staff Officer role requires candidates to have five (5) or more years of experience supporting Engineering Services
********************************************************************************************************** Additional Requirements & Qualifications - Five (5) years of experience in staff officer support as applied to Navy/Joint warfighting systems
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or related technical discipline
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI or active TS/SCI is required - U.S
Citizenship is required
- Ability to brief Flag Officers and Senior Executive Service (SES) personnel on program status
- Ability to coordinate across functional areas within the program
- Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of Joint (OSD Level) Exercise development
- Must be a quick learner who adapts easily to frequently changing requirements and thrives in an exciting environment
Desired Skills - Knowledge of Naval Surface Warfare programs and architectures - Surface Navy operational experience - Experience supporting joint force Field Training Exercises (FTX) - Effectively contribute on teams developing rigorous analytic solutions - Exercise independent judgment and work autonomously with minimal supervision - Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability and willingness to multi-task, and capable of professionally addressing client questions and issues Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to: - Provides support directly to the Program Office as a Staff Officer
- Assists and coordinates in all three major areas (Prototype Integration, Assessments, Operations) directly for the Program Office
- Attends meetings and briefs Flag Officers and SES personnel as required on program status
- Works with exercise planners to integrate prototypes into risk reduction, graduation, and joint exercise events (NE/VS)
- Required to understand the technical capabilities of prototypes and how they plan to support the joint force
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/oversight in a team environment
Work Posture - Must be committed to working on-site at the Pentagon and Crystal City
Flexible work arrangement may be available as dictated by customer support requirements
Travel - Travel is required for this position and includes at least five plus weeks of CONUS/OCONUS support Apply For This Position
