Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.HDR is seeking a highly motivated Senior Professional to lead our Green House Gas (GHG) and Carbon Management Practice Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Greenhouse Gas and Carbon Management Technical Lead, we'll count on you to:Provide leadership on GHG and carbon management topics.Serve as knowledge lead for carbon accounting methodologies.Identify and develop opportunities to expand GHG and carbon management services to clients.Provide hands-on mentoring to GHG and carbon management professionals that fosters innovative ideas and solutions; and develop those solutions into profitable services.Verify GHG and carbon management professionals are aware of and monitoring emerging issues, market trends, regulatory requirements, and technologies.Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques to enhance GHG and carbon management consulting service quality and efficiency. Champion and promote our GHG and carbon management professionals and practice in relevant professional and industry organizations.Perform and manage consulting services on GHG management, with a primary focus on carbon strategy development and market analysis related to GHG emissions and carbon offset credits.Manage and/or perform projects involving GHG emissions inventories, GHG mitigation and carbon management strategy development and implementation.Help inform economic analysis related to GHG mitigation, including carbon sequestration, carbon removals, economic analysis of regulatory and policy options, lifecycle analysis and valuation of carbon.Provide senior oversight on existing project work to verify quality deliverables.Lead emissions impact assessments from federal, state, regional and local GHG regulations and mitigation policies such as methane emissions regulations, Cap & Trade and fuel and energy standards.Analyze legislation and its impact to clients and HDR.Identify/pursue strategic partnerships.Support pursuit of grant opportunities to support client programs.Conduct studies of the costs and effectiveness of emissions abatement.Complete analyses related to developing technology for renewable fuel production and decarbonization.Conduct carbon market assessments. Develop and implement carbon market strategies. Assesses the carbon offset potential of fuel production and carbon credit projects. Develop emissions trading and carbon offsets procurement strategies.Oversee delivery of GHG and carbon management services and deliverables to meet client expectations.Work closely with our Sustainability & Resiliency, Environmental Science & Planning, and Air Quality programs and practices to build and grow related services.*LI-MP1 Qualifications·    Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering related field.Minimum 10 years of professional experience.5+ years of professional experience in greenhouse gas and/or carbon managementA keen understanding of how clients perceive their GHG emission and carbon management challenges and the ability to package our expertise as solutions to these challenges.Experience with some or all of the following standards: GHG Protocol Corporate Standard; GHG Protocol Value Chain Scope 3 Standard; GHG Protocol Corporate Standard; Net Zero Carbon Standard; Carbon Offset project verification standards.Experience in GHG emission and air quality modeling and regulatory applications and reporting.Experience developing Corporate GHG inventories (Scope 1, 2 and 3) and decarbonization prioritization planning.Ability to interact with diverse design teams and subject matter experts, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
