Lead Electrical Engineer (Houston, TX.)

Lead a Team of Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers on large Oil & Gas, FEED and EPC Projects Develops project scope of work for electrical engineering and design Monitors and advises Department Manager of major project changes Prepares detail design schedule milestones, staff loading schedules and man-hour estimates for engineering and design tasks Reports progress, updates schedules, manages staffing needs and hourly budget Establishes engineering and design concepts and data for scope assigned to group and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements Prepares project scope deviations documentation as required Researches suitable solutions, estimated cost and timescales Trains less experienced engineers Reviews vendor documents Independently evaluates the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project objectives Applies standard engineering design tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codes Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of work Reviews and generates design data and/or deliverables from various inputs Performs the more sophisticated and complicated designs in accordance with established company standards Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines Supervises, checks and assists other electrical personnel in their assignments Prepares and /or supervises and checks documents and drawings as required Manages all Electrical personnel on the team including Workshare Office staff Manages all Electrical design deliverables on the project, including electrical power studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protective relay coordination studies, etc.), electrical area classification drawings, one-lines, schematics and wiring design; lighting, power, grounding, and cable tray plan drawings, and specification of electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear in Petrochemical Plants. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Effective writing and verbal communication skills Proficiency with ETAP or SKM (preferred) Professional Engineer License and the ability to register in multiple states preferred Desired Experience: 10+ years of Oil & Gas (Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Chemical) EPC project experience. 10+ years Oil & Gas, FEED and EPC project execution Project lead experience.
