• Mission Support Job Description The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an experienced Cost Control/Construction Accountant
Responsibilities include providing the federal client with professional on-site facility, and project management services across a variety of small to large-scale construction projects
Projects may include space upgrades or modification/reconfiguration of spaces to meet the mission needs of clients
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage an assigned portfolio of projects while addressing challenges related:
• Construction cost management, tracking of funds, and Budgeting.
• Financial analysis, economic analysis, report production.
• Project administration, program management, database management
Skills & Requirements Required Experience & Skills
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial/government facility construction project management relating to:
• Financial analysis using excel spreadsheets, including formulas and formats.
• Experience with cost controls and financial cost tracking
• Experience with database software and report production
• Experience developing and evaluating economic analysis
• Experience developing and evaluating construction project cost estimates and tracking funds.
• SharePoint Database management and design
• Ability to pass a DHS "suitability" background investigation is a requirement Preferred Experience & Skills
• CPA, PMP, and federal government accounting experience highly desired.
• Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial/government building projects with experience managing simultaneous construction and/or building projects
• Ability to work independently, in groups, and in a stressful environment Preferred Education
• An accounting, business, finance, or construction management bachelor's degree (civil, mechanical, electrical or architectural, etc) from an accredited University recognized by the U.S
