NPseal® is a breakthrough negative pressure dressing that is FDA cleared for use on closed surgical incisions. It is an ultra-portable easy-to-use dressing featuring an integrated pinch pump that delivers and maintains the negative pressure without batteries or tubes.

The Traveling Clinical Specialist is responsible for supporting the selling and educational activities to ensure proper utilization and growth of the NPseal® negative pressure dressing in Hospital Operating Room or Surgery Center settings. You will be collaborating with current team members on large accounts and working on expansion business. The Traveling Clinical Specialist is present during surgical procedures and provides expertise in proper utilization and application of NPseal®. What You Will Be Doing:
- Represent Guard Medical during surgical procedures and provide expertise in proper utilization and application of NPseal®.
- Perform regular education and training sessions with hospital staff that may be involved with the care of patients during and after surgery.
- Provide training & resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training - i.e. Train the Trainer.
- Lead and Support Nursing In-Service sessions as needed and requested.
- Partner with Guard Medical Sales Representatives across the US to optimize customer support & growth strategy.
- Become an expert at understanding the Healthcare Partner's unmet needs related to the management and protection of closed surgical incisions.
- Effectively communicate the clinical, ease-of-use and cost-savings benefits of NPseal® compared to traditional dressings and NPWT competitive offerings.
- Develop and manage relationships with Key Customer decision-makers including Physicians, Nurses, decision makers, and Operating Room staff.
- Partner with internal Guard Medical groups on marketing needs and development activity.
- Conduct clinical support activity in strict compliance with FDA regulations and Code of Conduct (e.g. Sunshine Act) policies.
- Ensure all required contacts, activities and reporting forms are maintained accurately.
- Maintain vendor credentials to work in hospitals and other medical facilities as required.
- Manage travel and expenses per approved budget and timelines.
- Other responsibilities as necessary to perform position.
Must Haves:
- RN with BA/BS Degree or BSN required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience as a Healthcare Professional as well as 1-2 years related Medical Device experience in a Clinical Specialist role focusing on the Hospital Operating Room or Surgery Center setting.
- Outstanding customer-focused and account management skills.
- Proficient with MS Office applications and other related tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as work in a team environment.
- Ability to pass and / or obtain necessary Vendor Credential background screening checks and requirements to work in Hospital and healthcare settings.
- Ability to travel 75+% of the time by automobile or air, day trips and overnight stays.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations on Clinical & Sales materials with the goal of increasing sales and / or usage of a product or service.
- Must have a valid driver's license, maintenance of an acceptable driving record and reliable automobile available for business purposes.
