Minimum qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience with API and application integration technologies such as API management and API security.
  • Experience in cloud native architectures in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with legacy and modern application development, container orchestration systems, middleware technologies, or other applicable platforms.
  • Experience with middleware, integration architecture patterns, security protocols, enterprise messaging patterns, APIs, SOA, ESB, or BPM.
  • Experience with cloud technologies including SaaS applications, iPaaS, business automation solutions, cloud infrastructure, and cloud networking.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end security and understanding of popular API security technologies such as OAuth, mTLS, SAML, JWT, and SSO.
  • Understanding of Google Cloud, multi/hybrid-cloud strategies, and associated technologies.

As a Customer Engineer on the Apigee team, you will have an opportunity to influence and lead enterprise customers on Google Cloud around Apigee API Management, Advanced API Security and Application Integration, empowering application modernization, and digital transformation. Integration Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) solutions in Google Cloud will offer a comprehensive set of core integration tools to connect and manage the multitude of applications (Google Cloud services and third-party SaaS) and data required to support various business operations.

In this role, you will help prospective, existing customers, and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, and problem-solve any potential technical roadblocks.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide API management, application integration platform, security,and other application modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with Google Cloud customers.
  • Work with the account team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer requirements, and develop a strategy to achieve a technical win.
  • Develop proofs of concept, presentations, and demonstrations with a clear plan to take a prospect successfully through the evaluation process.
  • Partner directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
