Assess patient nutritional status, develop and implement nutritional care plans and educate patients and family members in prescribed diets and nutritional information,

The Clinical Dietitian serves a patient population covering pediatrics to geriatrics,

Registered Dietitian position is responsible for the assessment/reassessment of patients at nutritional risk as per the standards by CMS, NJDOH, TJC, education/documentation in the EMR for all patients at nutrition risk as well as documentation of ASPEN criteria for malnutrition,

Competency includes order-writing privileges for diets and tube feedings,

Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments i,e,

damaged floors,walls,ceiling tiles/unsecured areas and medical errors, etc,

Registered Dietitian Job Qualifications

BA/BS degree plus professional certification as a Registered Dietitian or eligibility for registration within six months of hire,

Masters Degree preferred and CNSC encouraged,

Maintain the RDN credential in compliance with the CDR professional portfolio requirement, and if applicable licensure requirement for state practice
